俄羅斯上週迎來一年一度的傘兵節（Airborne Forces Day），卻發生傘兵墜落悲劇，41歲資深傘兵高空跳傘表演時，主傘與備用傘都未能及時開啟，不幸從近2000英尺（約610公尺）高空墜地身亡。
綜合外媒報導，這起悲劇發生在莫斯科附近，影片顯示，當時這名傘兵從軍機一躍而下，不料主降落傘都故障，無法張開，他發現主傘無法開啟，隨即拉副傘，也就是備用降落傘，但當時距離地面的高度實在太短，副傘也沒有充足的時間完全展開、減緩衝擊力，傘兵直接墜落身亡。

影片在網路曝光後，網友紛紛為這名傘兵感到難過，但也有人吐槽，「這是我見過最俄羅斯的東西了」。
俄羅斯總統普廷於傘兵節當天在官方網站發表聲明，問候傘兵部隊，更說為他們感到無比驕傲。未料卻發生這起墜落意外，讓表彰空降部隊榮譽的軍事節日，瞬間變調成沉痛的悲劇。
