美國洛杉磯國際機場週二上午發生一起飛機擦撞意外，一架載有290名乘客與機組員的達美航空客機，在機坪滑行準備起飛時，與一架正前往登機口的加拿大航空客機發生擦撞，所幸這起事故並未造成任何人員受傷。
綜合外媒報導，達美航空一架載有275名乘客和15名機組人員，原預計飛往東京羽田機場的客機在機坪滑行時，左側機翼不慎撞上一架剛從加拿大多倫多抵達的加拿大航空客機，導致達美客機的機翼翼尖小翼當場斷裂，甚至還直接卡進加航客機尾翼，發生碰撞後，2架飛機乘客與機組人員都感受到明顯晃動，不過幸好沒有任何人員受傷。

事故發生後，2架客機均已停飛以及進廠維修，達美航空發表聲明，表示「沒有什麼比我們乘客和員工的安全更重要，我們對乘客的旅行體驗和延誤深表歉意」，洛杉磯國際機場發言人則說明，目前機場各跑道與航班維持正常運作，目前美國聯邦航空總署（FAA）與美國國家運輸安全委員會（NTSB）已介入調查，將進一步調閱地勤拖車路徑與滑行道調度紀錄，釐清責任歸屬。
Delta A350 wing Clips Air Canada Boeing 777 horizontal stabilizer at LAX
A ground collision involving two widebody aircraft occurred Tuesday at Los Angeles International Airport （LAX） when a Delta Air Lines Airbus A350-941 came into contact with an Air Canada Boeing 777-233LR.
The incident occurred at Terminal 6 as the aircraft were being maneuvered on the ramp. The Delta A350’s left wingtip struck the right horizontal stabilizer of the Air Canada 777, leaving visible damage to both aircraft.
The Air Canada aircraft is identified as C-FIVK, a Boeing 777-233LR. Flight-tracking data shows it had operated into LAX on AC785 from Toronto earlier Tuesday and was scheduled to operate AC786 back to Toronto later that evening.
The aircraft was subsequently taken out of service for inspection and repairs, with reports indicating the collision affected the scheduled Air Canada operation.
The incident comes just over two years after another Delta A350 ground collision at Atlanta, when an A350 struck the tail of an Endeavor Air CRJ-900 while taxiing for Tokyo-Haneda.
No injuries have been reported in the LAX ground collision. Investigators and the airlines will determine the circumstances surrounding the contact.
